What we collect

• Order data: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, items ordered.
• Payment data: processed by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Marketing data: your email address if you sign up for our newsletter or a discount code.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and purchases, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Messages: what you send us when you contact customer service.

Why we use your data

• To process and deliver orders and handle returns (performance of a contract).
• To send order updates and answer your questions (contract and legitimate interest).
• To send newsletters and discount codes (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To measure and improve our website and advertising (consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest).
• To prevent fraud and meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interest).

Who we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us run the store:
• Shopify (store, checkout and hosting).
• Payment providers for iDEAL and card payments.
• Fulfilment partners and shipping carriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
• Email marketing tools for newsletters and discount codes.
• Advertising and analytics platforms, such as Meta and TikTok, through pixels on our website.

We do not sell your personal data for money.

International transfers

Some of our fulfilment partners and providers are located outside the European Economic Area, including in China and the United States. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

We use cookies as explained in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep data

We keep order data as long as needed for the order and for legal and tax obligations (in the Netherlands generally 7 years). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is kept no longer than necessary for its purpose.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to receive a copy of it, or to object to certain uses. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email. Email us at Contact@houndkeep.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.

Customers in the United States

We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookies may count as sharing under certain US state laws. You can opt out through our cookie settings or by emailing us. Residents of some states have rights to know, delete and correct their data, which you can exercise by contacting us.

Security and children

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, but no online service is completely secure. Our store is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
